The three reasons do not stand side by side, they build on each other: proximity enables consulting, consulting shortens distances, short distances keep value creation in the region.
Expertise on site
The automation business is highly consulting-intensive. STASTO is constantly faced with problems that need solving. Bringing manufacturers into that consulting process is therefore a major advantage for everyone involved, and the efficient way to master these challenges. Language barriers are reduced to a minimum. The proximity of the production plants allows an intensive exchange of experience along the entire supply chain.
Short distances
Because the production sites are close by, STASTO can respond flexibly to any market requirement. Lead times for products that have to be sourced can be shortened considerably, and technical and logistical expertise is available at very short notice. Short transport routes from the plant to the point of use reduce the environmental impact enormously.
Regional value creation
Moving production to distant countries was the trend of recent years. Bringing value creation back home, and thereby creating and securing jobs again, matters a great deal to STASTO. In the long run this preserves and can raise the standard of living, and secures the future of the region. Only high-quality European production sites qualify for the active STASTO range.
